J. Robbins is a Baltimore-based singer/guitarist and songwriter, veteran of DC and Baltimore area post-punk rock bands since the mid 1980s, most notably Jawbox and Burning Airlines. He is also owner and operator of the Magpie Cage recording studio, and has engineered and produced records since the mid-90s for bands as diverse as Clutch, Against Me!, Jets to Brazil, and literally hundreds of others. On February 2nd of this year he released his second solo record, Basilisk, on Dischord Records.
